It is Normal to be Nervous

There are a variety of dental treatments that cater to patients with anxiety.

Options Available
There are three common versions of dental bonding available to patients, resulting in similar results.
Oral sedation involves taking a pill before your appointment to help you feel more relaxed during treatment. The pill is usually taken about an hour before your scheduled appointment time, and it will help you feel drowsy and calm during your visit. You will need someone to drive you home after your appointment because the effects of the medication can last up to 24 hours.

Sedation
Sedation dentistry is a safe and effective way to help patients relax during dental procedures. There are several different types of sedation that can be used depending on the patient’s level of anxiety and the type of procedure being performed.

Also called “sleep dentistry,” this type of dental treatment involves using medications to help patients relax during their procedure. There are different types of sedation dentistry, and the type that’s right for you will depend on your level of anxiety and your medical history.
